Rooster Song

Original painting of my handsome longtail rooster, Speckles. He was known as Su in his old home, and was one of the first two roosters that started the old longtail flock. Before Su made it into this world, he was flown across the country as a fertile hatching egg, and then hatched by incubator in the mountains of northern california, where he spent a few years living wild and roosting in apple trees on his old owner's rural property. He was his old owner's favorite bird.
Acrylic and colored pencil on 16x24" recycled birch plywood. Comes varnished and ready to hang, no need to frame!
